Tijuca Forest, the Botanical Garden, the Maracanã and Sugarloaf Mountain in one full day. The green side of Rio and its two great landmarks, for anyone who has already seen the Christ statue or simply wants more of the city.
Pickup in Copacabana and Ipanema is included, other areas for an extra charge. As on all our tours the group is accompanied by a guide certified by the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism, so we skip the ticket queues.
This is the natural next step after Rio Day Trip, but it stands perfectly well on its own. Do both and you have seen the city properly.
What you'll see

Tijuca Forest
The highlights of the world's largest urban forest: the Taunay Waterfall and the Chinese Pavilion, the Vista Chinesa, with its view over the whole south of the city. The pavilion is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, and on those days we walk an easy, pleasant forest trail instead. About an hour and a half.

The Botanical Garden
A short drive from Copacabana, one of the oldest and most beautiful botanical gardens in the world: the avenue of imperial palms, the orchid house and a great deal of shade. About an hour and a half.

The Maracanã Stadium
A tour inside the legendary stadium: the dressing rooms, the museum, and the walk out to the edge of the pitch beside the team benches. A must for anyone who loves football. About an hour and a half.

Sugarloaf Mountain
The famous cable car in two stages: first up to Morro da Urca, then on to the summit of Sugarloaf itself, for the panorama over the bay, Copacabana and the Christ statue on the ridge opposite. Best towards the end of the day. About an hour and a half.
